Its president, passionate about competition, founded Hermine in 2024, officially established in 2025 in France as an SAS (simplified joint-stock company).
With his experience in Counter-Strike and League of Legends, he decided to build a team of players with potential in each game to enter the competitive scene and provide them with the resources to become professional players.
Why Hermine ? The name is synonymous with purity and has long been a symbol of Bretagne. According to legend, the name was given when Anne de Bretagne, while hunting, spared the life of a stoat (hermine) that would rather face death than dirty itself by crossing a muddy path to escape from the hounds. Thus the saying in Breton “Zentoc’h mervel eget bezan saotret,” that translates to “Better dead than dirty.”
